Auriculotherapy Meets the Field of Psychology
In line with the tradition of Paul Nogier recent developments in Auriculotherapy (Earacupuncture (AT) focus on treatment of psychic syndromes. AT may be a first-line intervention, but is also practiced by psychotherapists to support Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy (PDT) and Psychopharmacology (PhT) interventions. The 11th International Auriculotherapy Symposium will be building bridges between AT and psychotherapy.
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit their work in the whole field of psychology, where AT interventions may contribute to a complex multidisciplinary approach that is a milestone in integrative medicine.
Background: the number of people diagnosed to have psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety, functional disorders, and PTSD is rising worldwide. AT is an effective method, generally free of side effects, which may be practiced as an alternative or complementary medicine to all therapies in the field of psychology.”
Welcome all Psychologist, physiotherapist, psychiatrist, nurse, midwife, dentist, general physician, and acupuncturist.
All presentations are in English. An online version will be organized in both English and French.
